VERSE 1 My soul, give thanks to the Lord, all my being bless God's holy name. My soul, give thanks to the Lord and never forget all God's blessings. VERSE 2 The Lord is compassion and love, slow to anger and rich in mercy. As parents have compassion on their children, the Lord has pity on those who believe. VERSE 3 But the love of the Lord is everlasting upon those who cling to their faith; God's justice reaches out to children's children when they keep the Lord's covenant in truth, when they keep the Lord's will in their mind.
